Wolf at The Door
Wolf at the Door is a coffee shop south in Dunedin. Tucked off Princes Street, you'd be forgiven for walking straight past, as its doors deceive the size of the space. Once inside, however, the Cafe is roomy with ample seating options and a distinct 70s vintage vibe. Perch by the window and watch passersby on the street, or tuck yourself away in one of their retro booths out back. The Cafe also features several restored retro arcade gaming machines, something that is sure to delight the nerd inside us all.
The concept of coffee here is simple; black or white, brewed to perfection and served hot. The coffee is roasted onsite and changes regularly, although the beans are always fair trade. It also serves up delicious food from their small but substantial menu, including classic Cafe favourites smashed avo with feta, grilled halloumi and baby beetroot salad and portobello mushrooms with blue cheese and walnuts. Or if those options don't take your fancy, there are plenty of freshly baked muffins and slices to choose from.
Whether grabbing a takeaway coffee, or stopping in for the rest of the day, Wolf at the Door is the perfect place to escape the cold Dunedin weather. The staff are friendly and know how to make a good coffee.
